Ross Lynch is a married man. The 30-year-old actor confirmed the news at the New York premiere of his Netflix film "Heartland" on Thursday, November 5, after arriving on the red carpet wearing a gold wedding band.
Asked directly by PEOPLE whether he was married, Lynch answered, "Yes, yes I am." He added that he is "not trying to shy away" from sharing the news, but that his wife is "not very fond of celebrity" and prefers to stay out of the spotlight — so he is keeping her identity private.
Lynch did not share his wife's name or the date of the wedding. Fans had speculated about his relationship status since he returned to Instagram in June after a yearlong break, when he was first photographed wearing a ring.
"Heartland" marks Lynch's return to acting in his first film role since 2020, aside from an appearance in Troye Sivan's "Look at You" music video in 2023. He plays Jace Jacobs in the thriller, which also stars Jessica Chastain as Misty Jones, a former country music star searching for her missing niece, and Garrett Hedlund. The film premieres on Netflix on November 13.
Lynch rose to fame on the Disney Channel series "Austin & Ally" and as a member of the band The Driver Era with his brother Rocky. He was previously in a long-term relationship with his "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" co-star Jaz Sinclair.
