Jeremy London, the actor best known for his roles in "7th Heaven," "Party of Five" and "Mallrats," says he is not homeless — a day after a distressed social media post set off reports that he was at risk of losing his job and his home.
London, 53, posted on X on Thursday, November 5, that his boss was "going through some kind of mental crisis" and that he "may be losing my job and home." He asked followers for help finding work and housing, writing, "I love working a real job on top of acting. I'm a good person. Why does this keep happening to me?? I'm not ok." In follow-up replies he said he was having "a hard time breathing" and had gotten "zero sleep."
The post, which was later deleted, was picked up by celebrity outlets including People, which reported on Friday that the actor had asked for help finding a "job and home." By Friday evening, London had taken to X to push back.
"Guys… I have a condo in Florida. People mag out here making me look homeless," he wrote. "I was just in shock from by boss' behavior and didn't want to have to go back to Florida. Jesus, they really have nothing else to report on?"
In a second post, he said the situation had been "blown out of proportion." "I have a condo in Florida. I just didn't want to leave PA because I fell in love with it. I was definitely sad and in shock. But I'm not destitute. Apologies for confusing wording in the moment," he wrote.
London, who has been working at a tree service business in Pennsylvania alongside acting, said he was "doing GREAT" and described the episode as potentially "a blessing," saying it could bring him back to his son and his art. He said he already had "other potential job prospects," was "shooting a movie soon" and would leave the rest to his attorneys.
London played Chandler Hampton, a young minister, in seasons seven and eight of "7th Heaven." In the 2025 documentary series "Hollywood Demons," he said a domestic violence arrest in 2004 — accusations he has denied — led to his exit from the long-running family drama.
