Ivar Eggja, who was the best man at Alf-Inge Haaland’s wedding, held a special place in Erling’s life, with the footballer affectionately calling him “uncle.” Eggja, who passed away at the age of 59, was not just a friend but an integral part of Haaland’s inner circle, forming a profound personal bond with the Manchester City forward.

Haaland took to social media to express his grief, sharing a series of images alongside Eggja, and writing: “You are a legend, Ivar. Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, also offered a heartfelt tribute. “From the moment I met you, I felt your ability to light up any space.
