Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, House Republicans Probe NGOs for Ties to CCP and George Soros’ Election Influence

Washington, D.C. — The House Committee on Homeland Security has launched a sweeping investigation into over 200 nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) accused of providing services to illegal immigrants, some of which may have potential ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The probe seeks to uncover foreign influence and funding streams that may be shaping U.S. immigration and election policies.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) spoke about the investigation during an appearance on The Chris Salcedo Show on Newsmax Thursday, highlighting the growing concern among lawmakers regarding foreign and political interference.

“We’re looking into the influence of foreign entities like the CCP and how money is being funneled through these organizations,” Luna said. “I’ve also spoken with [House Oversight Committee] Chairman [James] Comer about issuing a subpoena to George Soros in relation to his financial role in manipulating elections.”

According to Luna, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.), who chairs a House Oversight subcommittee, is also planning to launch a parallel investigation specifically targeting George Soros’ alleged interference in the U.S. election process.

“This is something that’s been long overdue,” Luna added, expressing frustration that many in Congress fail to act decisively on issues involving powerful political donors and foreign influence.

Luna credited investigative journalists with uncovering connections between Chinese interests and various NGOs operating within the U.S., asserting that their work has laid the groundwork for congressional action.

“They’re doing the groundwork, and it’s our job in Congress to follow up,” she said. “But there are a lot of people in Congress who get weak stomachs on these topics. We need the American people to hold them accountable.”

The investigation marks an escalation in Republican efforts to address concerns over national security, election integrity, and immigration enforcement. The outcome could have significant implications for the future regulation and transparency of NGOs operating across the U.S.
