A 29-year-old Uzbek national has been arrested in connection with the recent bombing in Moscow that claimed the life of General Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia’s nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons protection forces. The suspect allegedly received a homemade explosive device and instructions from Ukrainian intelligence, and was promised a substantial cash reward of $100,000 and a trip to a European country. The bombing, which occurred at the entrance to Kirillov’s apartment building, also killed one of his aides.

The Russian Investigative Committee has revealed that the suspect was detained in a village outside Moscow, and that he has provided a detailed confession. The committee’s spokesperson stated that the suspect had been in contact with Ukrainian intelligence agents, who had instructed him to carry out the attack.

The bombing has sparked a wave of outrage and condemnation in Russia, with many officials accusing Ukraine of being behind the attack. Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) has claimed responsibility for Kirillov’s assassination, stating that he was charged in absentia for ordering the use of banned chemical weapons against Ukrainian forces.

The incident has highlighted the escalating tensions and accusations of war crimes between Russia and Ukraine. The conflict has resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries, and has sparked a humanitarian crisis in the region. The international community has called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, but a lasting solution remains elusive.
