President Donald Trump in a series of social media posts said the National Guard should be brought in “right now” to help deal with protesters in Los Angeles.

He added, “He should, RIGHT NOW!!! Don’t let these thugs get away with this. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Trump was referring to McDonnell’s Sunday night press conference, where he said, “this thing has gotten out of control” and would now have to make a “reassessment” about requesting the National Guard.
