The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducts Ozzy

Ozzy Rock Hall, As a solo artist, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, 20,000 people gave the 75-year-old “Prince of Darkness” from Birmingham a standing ovation, accompanied by an all-star band. After accepting the award from actor Jack Black, Osbourne expressed gratitude to his supporters and team members, mentioning Randy Rhoads, his late guitarist, who had a significant influence on his solo career.

In addition, Osbourne conveyed his appreciation to his family, especially to his wife Sharon, whom he said had saved his life. Music legends paid tribute to the late greats, with Billy Idol singing “No More Tears,” Wolfgang Van Halen performing “Crazy Train,” and country music veteran Jelly Roll delivering “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” Longtime band members and rock icons like Zakk Wylde and Robert Trujillo joined in the concert, which Osbourne observed from a throne.

Previously inducted with Black Sabbath in 2006, Osbourne’s career spans over 55 years, selling over 100 million records. Though retired from touring due to health issues, Osbourne remains a rock icon. His Birmingham roots were also celebrated, with tributes from the city, including a mechanical bull named “Ozzy” displayed at Birmingham New Street station.
