Table of Content

The New Qantas Paris Route

So, Qantas is now flying nonstop from Perth to Paris in the Qantas Paris route. That’s a looong flight, like 17 hours and 20 minutes! They’re using these big planes called Boeing 787-9s that fit 236 seats. That’s a lot of seats, right? This route is gonna start with four flights a week during the Olympics and then drop to three times a week later on.

Why Paris?

Vanessa Hudson, who’s the big boss at Qantas, said more and more people wanna fly direct without stopping, especially on long trips. Qantas already flies from Perth to London and Rome, and people really like those flights. So, adding Paris is like adding another cool place to visit without any layovers.

The Longest Flights

This flight from Perth to Paris is super long, almost 9,000 miles! It’s actually the third-longest route Qantas has. The only ones longer are from Perth to London and Melbourne to Dallas-Fort Worth. That’s a whole lot of flying!

Paris, Here We Come (Again)

Qantas used to fly to Paris a long time ago, but they stopped in 2004. They used to go through Singapore, but now it’s straight from Perth. It’s been a while since Qantas had France on their map, but now they’re back in the game.

Project Sunrise

Here’s something fancy: Qantas got permission to add extra fuel tanks to their planes for these super long flights they’re planning. They call it Project Sunrise, and it’s all about flying even farther. They’re talking about flying from Sydney to London and New York without stopping. That’s like flying across half the world!

Big Changes in Perth

Perth Airport is getting a major upgrade because of all these new flights. They’re spending billions on new terminals and runways to handle more international flights. Perth is becoming a big deal for Qantas after Sydney, which is pretty cool for a city in Western Australia.

Record Passengers

Guess what? Perth Airport just had their busiest year ever! They had over 16 million people flying through there in one year. That’s a lot of travelers! Before this, the most they ever had was 14.9 million in one year. Perth is really growing fast.

More Routes to Europe

Now, Qantas has three nonstop routes from Australia to Europe. Besides Paris, they also fly daily to London from Perth and three times a week to Rome. That’s a lot of options for Aussies wanting to travel to Europe without a layover.

So, that’s the scoop on Qantas coming back to Paris. It’s a big deal for them and for people who love traveling. Next time you’re thinking about flying to Europe, maybe think about taking the Qantas route. Who knows where they’ll fly next!
