Attorney General Pam Bondi Vows to Investigate Top Democrats

Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a sharp warning to several prominent Democrats on Thursday, pledging to open investigations into what she described as efforts to obstruct federal law enforcement under President Donald Trump’s administration.

Speaking on Jesse Watters Primetime on Fox News, Bondi specifically called out former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other top Democratic figures, accusing them of interfering with federal agents tasked with carrying out Trump’s immigration enforcement orders.

Her remarks came after the show aired a clip of former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot launching a new nonprofit organization called the “ICE Accountability Project.” The initiative aims to identify Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and document alleged misconduct by both ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel.

Bondi criticized the move as “dangerous” and “irresponsible,” claiming it could endanger federal agents and undermine law enforcement operations. “Anyone who tries to expose or intimidate our federal officers for doing their jobs will be held accountable,” she said.

The attorney general suggested that the Justice Department would review possible legal violations tied to such efforts, emphasizing that “political opposition does not grant immunity from the law.”

Bondi’s comments come amid growing tensions between the Trump administration and Democratic leaders over immigration policy and border enforcement, with both sides trading accusations of overreach and obstruction.
